Brief Bio

Dr. Sriram Subramanian has research interests in Human-computer Interaction (HCI) with a particular emphasis on expanding the input bandwidth. Before joining the University of Bristol, he worked as a senior scientist in the Media Interaction Group at Philips Research Eindhoven, Netherlands. Prior to this, he was an Assistant Professor (July 2003 to Dec 2006) at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Sriram holds adjunct positions at the University of Manitoba in Canada and has strong research links with the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University.

New PhD Position

Visit to UPMC and CEA

I visited ISIR - Institut des Systèmes Intelligents et de Robotique which is part of Université Pierre et Marie Curie to see some of their latest research ventures in Haptics.

The center also has a strong interest in investigating the use of haptics in improving user interactions with scanning electron microscopes.
